Description	:	LaVern “Bud” L. Yendra, age 84, of Gibbon died Saturday, January 9, 2016 at his home in rural Gibbon. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gibbon Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Wolf officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon. Yendra, age 84, of Gibbon died Saturday, January 9, 2016 at his home in rural Gibbon. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney are in Charge of arrangements. Bud was born June 14, 1931, to John and Ethel (Cline) Yendra on a farm north of Gibbon, Nebraska. He attended school in the Gibbon area. He was united in marriage to Virginia Stall on August 19, 1951, in Gibbon, Nebraska. After marriage they bought a farm north of Gibbon where they farmed until Bud was drafted into the United States Marine Corps. Bud served in the Marine Corps from 1952 to 1954. He retired from Good Samaritan Hospital in 1993, when they started their winter Texan journey for the past 20 years. Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and sharing his home and collections with all his family and friends. In addition to his loving wife of 64 years, Virginia, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Rick Yendra of Gibbon, Deborah and Gary Zinnel of Columbus, Terry and Patricia Yendra of Gibbon, Diane and Mike Hughes of Lincoln; Grandchildren, Jabriel and Cari Zinnel, Andrew and Kori Yendra, Heath Zinnel, Alease Zinnel, Cody and Jennifer Yendra, Tiffany and Tony Redfern, Chelsea and Kelly Oliver, Ashley and Adam Dack, Jonathan and Alison Yendra, Jamie Yendra, Ryan Hughes; Great Grandchildren, Max, Parker, Kyndel, Leah, Crew, Finn, Charlie, Olivia, Logan, Sandra, Serenity, Cadance, Ian, Jazzlyn, Madison, Jessie, Ada and Augustus. He was preceded in death by his Parents, John and Ethel Yendra; Brother, Kenneth Neil Yendra; Granddaughter, Brandy and Great Granddaughter, Agereonia Zinnel.
