Carradus, 91, of Manchester and a resident of the Good Neighbor Home since January of 1983, passed away at the Good Neighbor Home Saturday morning Sept. 3. Funeral services for Mrs. Carradus were held at 1:30 p. m. Monday, Sept. 5, at the Shelby funeral home with the Rev. Richard Speight officiating. Burial was made in the Silver Creek Cemetery. Carradus, 91, of Manchester and a resident of the Good Neighbor Home since January of 1983, passed away at the Good Neighbor Home Saturday morning Sept. 3. Funeral services for Mrs. Carradus were held at 1:30 p. m. Monday, Sept. 5, at the Shelby funeral home with the Rev. Richard Speight officiating. Burial was made in the Silver Creek Cemetery. Lavina Agnes, daughter of Myron and Emma (Sinderson) Pratt, was born Aug. 2, 1892 on the parental farm near Masonville. She grew to young womanhood on their Prairie township farm and received her education in the rural schools of that township. She then attended the Manchester high school and following her schooling she lived at home until marriage. She was united in marriage with Elmer F. Carradus on June 11, 1924 at the farm home of her parents. Following their marriage they engaged in farming together in Delaware county all of their lives until retirement when they moved to Delaware to make their home. Mrs. Carradus was a lifelong member of the United Methodist church and a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service of the church. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Emily) Wendt of Manchester; one son Dean E. Carradus of Wheaton, Ill.; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Pratt of Cedar Rapids; one sister Alveda Theilgard of Popular Bulff, Mo., and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer on Dec. 13, 1972; one son, Robert, on Nov. 3, 1981, and two brothers and another brother and sister in infancy.
