He met LAVINIA "Viney" LANG as he was passing through Clay Hill, FL on a trip home to Boston, MA. He said she was the prettiest woman he'd ever seen - so he married her (in 1879). They had one daughter, Anna (Mrs. Percival Sayward of Boston, MA) and two sons: William HUDSON of Moultrie, Ga., and CLARENCE MARTIN HUDSON of Jacksonville. The 1910 Clay County census lists Henry (age 49) and wife "Luviney" (age 50). Also living there were his mother Sophia (187224985) and Lavinia's mother (133137116). LANG FAMILY HISTORY: The 1870 census of Clay County, FL listed a household of 3 Langs born in GA: William (age 50), "[M}ethania" (age 40) and Hester (age 20), and 6 Langs born in Florida: Eliza (age 20), "VINY" (age 18), Richard (age 15), David (age 12), Lucy (age 10) and William (age 9). That 1880 Census listed farmer William Lang (age 61), wife METHENEA (age 50); Eliza (age 30), David (age 24?), William J. (age 19) and "Cintha" (age 13). Also living in their home were Nathan Lang (age 16), Elisha Lang (age 15). (Family notes say Hester married a Lake and Lucy married a Nettles.)
