LaVon Goodsell was born on July 23, 1918 at Aredale, the daughter of Claude A. and Esther Goodsell. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. The family also lived in Dumont. She was married to Charles F. Miller on Decembr 30, 1940. Mrs. Miller was prededed in death by her father in 1951. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Clark of Shell Rock; one son, Marvin, at home; her mother Mrs. V.E. Sellers and a sister, Mrs. Dean (Virginia) Davis, both of Greene. Funeral services will be held this afternoon, Wednesday, at 2:00 o'clock in the Methodist Church in Shell Rock, with burial in a cemetery there. (note: per marriage information I have her marriage date is wrong in her obit. Married 1939 instead of 1940)
