Description	:	LaVon was born March 29, 1919, in Cascade, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Calista (Shaefer) Kremer. She graduated from St. Martin's High School in 1938. In 1941, she married Gerald Pasker at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade. After the war, the couple settled in Monticello where Gerry started his business, Energy Manufacturing. Mr. Pasker was killed in a plane crash in 1964 and LaVon became president of Energy, a role she held until the business was sold in 1985. LaVon was as generous as she was shy. She graduated from St. Martin's High School in 1938. In 1941, she married Gerald Pasker at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade. After the war, the couple settled in Monticello where Gerry started his business, Energy Manufacturing. Mr. Pasker was killed in a plane crash in 1964 and LaVon became president of Energy, a role she held until the business was sold in 1985. LaVon was as generous as she was shy. She could be relied upon to contribute to a variety of community projects: Monticello Pool, the fire department, Camp Courageous, Monticello Airport, Jones County Ducks Unlimited, the fund to rebuild Lake Delhi and especially Sacred Heart Parish. She also established Pasker Prairie with the Jones County Conservation board. Her generosity also extended to her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling. With Gerry she went on safari in Africa and continued around the world. She also made trips to Europe, the Middle East, South America, Alaska and made numerous trips to visit her children and grandchildren. Of course, she especially loved her trips to Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; a son, Gary Pasker; brothers, James, Jack and Nic Kremer; and sisters, Margaret Mausser, Esther Schemmel and Carolyn Schemmel.
