Description	:	Osceola Sentinel 3 17 1994 Lavone Marie Binning, daughter of Lloyd and Wilma Houser Briner, was born Sept. 23, 1932, near Grand River and died March 3, 1994, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. She was 61. She married Gene Eldon Binning on 2/14/1950 in Bethany, Missouri and the couple became the parents of four children. Mrs. Binning was involved in community activities but her main love was being with her family. She was preceded in death by her father. Mrs. Binning is survived by her husband Gene of Grand River, four children and five grandchildren; Janice Miller and her husband Bill Miller, and their son Patrick of Van Meter; Ronnie Binning and his wife Linda Binning and their children Jon, Melissa, and Amber of Grand River; Richard Binning and his wife, Fay Binning and their daughter Jennifer, of Grand River, and Joyce Hoppes and her husband Rex Hoppes of Indianola; her mother, Wilma Briner of Grand River, two brothers Jack Briner of Grand River, and Eugene Briner and his wife JoAnne Brinner of Seattle, Wash.; other relatives and many friends. Services for Mrs. Binning were March 7 at the Grand River United Methodist Church. The Rev. Lynn Wyatt and the Rev. Max Carmichael. The Organist was Virginia Webb and special music selections were Amazing Grace and The Lord's Prayer. Casket bearers were Ralph Evans, Max Greenland, Loren Parkhurst, Richard Schwalbe, Donald Van Laar and Raymond Van Laar. Honorary bearers were Duane Brammer, Every Burchett, Kenneth Miller, Bill Salsman and Duane Viestenz. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery near Grand River.
