Description	:	Lawrence was born August 30, 1921, at Outlook, Montana, on the family homestead, a son of John and Mary (Bauer) Wirtz. As a young child he moved with his family to a farm east of Kenmare, North Dakota. He attended St. Agnes Catholic School. He married Selina Theusch on October 21, 1942, at Kenmare, North Dakota. Following their marriage the couple farmed north of Donnybrook. He also had farming interest in Saskatchewan, Canada and farmed there from 1958-1973. He retired from farming in 1986. During his farming days, his family worked closely with him and developed his strong work ethic. In his later years, he enjoyed camping and ice fishing with his family and friends. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Fr. Peter Kunnalakat, St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare. Paul Carlson, soloist, to offer "How Great Thou Art" and "Just a Closer Walk With Thee". Congregational Hymns will be "Peace Is Flowing Like A River" G-P #39, and "Amazing Grace" M#112. Ken Busch, organist. Active Casketbearers will inlcude Jack Munch, Duane Kolbo, Don Murphy, Robert Bauer, Greg Ankenbauer, and Alvin Nett. All his many nieces and nephews will serve as Honorary Casketbearers. He is survived by his wife, Selina; sons, Gary Wirtz and his wife Judy, Ron Wirtz and his wife Audrey, and Ken Wirtz and his wife Barb; daughters, Dianna Anderson and her husband Bob, and Donna Norrie; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brothers, Clarence and Paul Wirtz; and sisters, Sr. Louise Wirtz, Clara Larsen, and Theresa Ankenbauer. he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters, and one great granddaughter. Interment: St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Kenmare, ND.
