Description	:	Selina Wirtz, 89, Kenmare, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, in a Kenmare hospital. Selina Rose Theusch was born June 21, 1922, on the family farm, southwest of Kenmare, a daughter of Gerhard and Odilia (Schumacher) Theusch. She was raised and educated in Kenmare, graduating from Kenmare High School in 1940. Selina was united in marriage to Lawrence A. Wirtz on Oct. 21, 1942, in Kenmare. Selina Rose Theusch was born June 21, 1922, on the family farm, southwest of Kenmare, a daughter of Gerhard and Odilia (Schumacher) Theusch. She was raised and educated in Kenmare, graduating from Kenmare High School in 1940. Selina was united in marriage to Lawrence A. Wirtz on Oct. 21, 1942, in Kenmare. Following their marriage the couple farmed north of Donnybrook. They also had farming interests in Saskatchewan, Canada, and farmed there from 1958-1973. In 1986, they retired from farming. Selina was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, the church in which she was baptized, took her First Communion, was confirmed and was married. She was also active with the ladies circle there. She enjoyed embroidery, cooking, family reunions and camping at Smisek Lake and the Mouse River Park. Selina is survived by: children, Dianna Anderson, Woodbury, Minn., Gary (Judy) Wirtz, Hermantown, Minn., Ron (Audrey) Wirtz, Kenmare, Ken (Barb) Wirtz, Dilworth, Minn., Donna Norrie, Kenmare; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and sisters, Eileen Nett, Marge Caufield and Ellen Johnson. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Selina was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lawrence; son-in-law, Bob Anderson; one great-granddaughter; three brothers; and two sisters. Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, Dec. 5, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare. Burial: St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Kenmare. Vigil prayer service: Today, Dec. 4, at 5 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare. Visitation: Today, Dec. 4, from 3 to 5 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare.
