Baker Nicholson, of Dickerson, Montgomery County, committed suicide, it is supposed, about 11 o'clock yesterday morning, mear Mount Ephraim, about seven miles from Boyds. Nicholson left home about 9 o'clock and was seen afterward by Mail Carrier Dixon about a mile from his home. Since that time he had not been seen alive. Search for him was made this morning and Charles Proctor, a colored man, found his body in a field several hundred yards from his home with a bullet wound through his heart and his revolver, of 32 calibre, under his body. He had been suffering from nervous prostration for some years. He was 36 years old and unmarried. Nicholson was found in a field belonging to William Turner, and in Frederic County, near Mt. Ephraim. Justice Thomas Grundell, of Urbana, was notified, and a jury of inquest summoned. The finding of the jury was that Nicholson came to his death by a pistol shot fired by his own hands. the body was found by Mason Fry and Charles Proctor, as they were passing along the road. The body was in a field, not far from the road and was upon the back and the hands were folded across the chest.
