Description	:	Lawrence C. Pat Evers, 93, of Grand Island, died Monday, December 26, 2005 at the Grand Island Veterans Home. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 7, at St. Libory Catholic Church with Father Larry Coulter officiating. Mr. Evers remains were cremated. Burial will be at the St. Libory Cemetery following the funeral service. A scripture Wake service will be at Kleine Funeral Home on Friday at 7 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. until service time. Pat was born October 17, 1912 at St. Libory, NE, the son of H. Henry and Anne (Hastings) Evers. He received his education at St. Libory Catholic School. On February 16, 1942, he was united in marriage to Lois E. Schwenk at St. Libory Catholic Church. Mr. Evers enlisted in the Army Air Corps in May of 1942 and served for three years in the South Pacific. He worked for Diers Motor for 34 years and later for Chief Automotive. Pat was a member of St. Marys Cathedral, Knights of Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He became a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in 1992. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and especially helping and being with his family. Mr. Evers is survived by three sons: Larry and wife Barbara of Tucson, AZ, Mike and Wife Becky of Kearney, NE, Tim and wife Lea of Wilmington, DE, one daughter: Mary and husband Bill Hildenbrandt of Chicago, IL, one son-in-law: Mark Hall of Columbia, SC, one sister: St. Anne Evers of Omaha, NE, eleven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, sisters, Virginia Wetta and Dorothy Recker, brother, Robert, and daughter Margaret Hall.
