Description	:	Lawrence Dewey Swartz, oldest son of Archibald A. and Mary Frances Swartz, was born in Alma, Nebraska, January 26, 1898. He passed away at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson Friday, January 8, 1988, at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 13 days. Lawrence attended and graduated from Nelson High School finishing his schooling after returning from a tour of duty in France during World War I. Read More	Lawrence Dewey Swartz, oldest son of Archibald A. and Mary Frances Swartz, was born in Alma, Nebraska, January 26, 1898. He passed away at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson Friday, January 8, 1988, at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 13 days. Lawrence attended and graduated from Nelson High School finishing his schooling after returning from a tour of duty in France during World War I. He then entered the business world as a manager of J.C. Penney Co. in Holbrook, Arizona, retiring in the 1960's. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Nelson and was a member of the Shrine. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Lee Bolding; his parents; one sister, Leta Bottenfield; and one brother, Joseph. Loved ones left to mourn his passing are sister, Mrs. Ralph (Dortha) Aikin, Good Samaritan Center, Nelson; niece, Mrs. Eileen Joy, Nelson; nephew, Ramon Aikin and wife Joan of Norwalk, California; great nieces and nephews and many friends. Memorial services will be held Friday, January 15th, 2:00 p.m. in the Klawitter-Price Funeral Chapel, Nelson. Masonic rites will be given by the Masonic Lodge No. 77. Burial will be in the Nelson Cemetery. Music will be provided by Myrtle Worley. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home, Nelson, is in charge of the arrangements.
