Description	:	Lawerence Kenneth Smith, age 86, of Elkins, Arkansas died Thursday, February 25, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. He was born April 16, 1934, in the Whitehouse community at Arnett, Arkansas to Homer Andrew and Myrl Mellissa (Chandler) Smith. Lawerence and Kathleen Glisson were married on December 8,1951. After moving back to Arkansas, he and his brother, Jerry Don owned... Read More	Lawerence Kenneth Smith, age 86, of Elkins, Arkansas died Thursday, February 25, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. He was born April 16, 1934, in the Whitehouse community at Arnett, Arkansas to Homer Andrew and Myrl Mellissa (Chandler) Smith. Lawerence and Kathleen Glisson were married on December 8,1951. He was a member of the Crystal Hills Family Fellowship Church, at Elkins. He lived in Wichita, Kansas, owning his own business for years prior to moving back home to Arkansas in 1973. After moving back to Arkansas, he and his brother, Jerry Don owned and operated Smith’s Heat and Air until retirement. He was an expert craftsman and helped anyone in need, never turning anyone away. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Alvin Smith; and two grandsons, Shane Smith-Pulsifer and Billy Lawrence Smith. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Kathleen Smith of the home; daughter, Darlene Smith- Cole (Allen); son, Larry Dean Smith (Charlene); brother, Jerry Don Smith (Janet); sister, Linda VanBrunt (Jackie) all of Elkins; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Crystal Hills Family Fellowship Church. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., with Jasper Hankins officiating. Burial will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery, under the direction of Elkins Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Brian Todd, Derrek Stills, Jeff Plumlee and Roy Jackson. Honorary Pallbearers are Taylor Smith and Tommy Smith.
