Read More	IN LOVING MEMORY LAWRENCE WALTER LEWIS Lawrence Walter Lewis, 85, of North Platte, Neb., died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1993, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte, Neb. Hew was born July 24, 1907, in Loup County, Neb., to Phillip John and Nora Belle Campain Lewis. He grew up on a farm in Loup County east of Taylor and helped with the farming and raising his sisters. On March 31, 1929, he married Louise Mabel Janitscheck in Kearney. They made their home in the Pleasanton, Amherst and Kearney areas. He worked for the state highway department, the Farmer's Union Co-op at Kearney and the TB hospital in Kearney. He moved to North Platte in July 1988. Mr Lewis attended the First United Methodist Church in North Platte and was a past member of the Eagles in Kearney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise, on March 25, 1945; a son, Eugene Lawrence; three brothers, Earl, Albert, and Robert; and four sisters, Retta Lewis, Della Beckett, Violet Berkheimer and Pearl Matousek. He is survived by two sons, Gary and wife Phyllis of North Platte, and Larry Dean and wife Sandi of Kearney; a daughter, Margery and husband Floyd Hinrichsen of North Platte; a step daughter, Ruth and husband Don Ostendorf of Overton; a brother Erven and wiffe Beryl Lewis of Springview; six sisters, Iva and husband Elmer Janitscheck and Alma and husband Frank Payton, all of Taylor, Fern Janitscheck of Ravenna, Etta Lewis of Burwell, Mildred and husband Wayce Fales of Burwell and Marie and husband Raymond Harris of Fort Collins, Colo; and seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
