Read More	Lawrence William Frye was born March 31, 1900, at Chester, Nebraska, and passed away very suddenly March 25, 1949 at his home in Abilene, Kansas at the age of 48 years, 11 months and 25 days. He grew to manhood in Chester and was living here when he was married to Miss Velma Oliver July 8, 1931. He spent the remainder of his life in Belleville, Seneca, and Abilene, Kansas. The past seven years were spent in Abilene where he has been employed as inspector of the Automotive Shop, Ordinance Section, Fort Riley, Kansas. He belonged to the Order of Freemasons at Seneca, Kansas. He leaves to mourn his death his wife, Mrs. Velma Frye, his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. L.L. Simpson of Chester, three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Calvin Robertson of Chester, Nebraska, Mrs. Carl Ball of Belleville, Kansas, Mrs. Harold Brown of Compton, California, Harry Frye of Washington state, Merton Frye of Los Angeles, California and a host of other relatives and friends. We will miss him, there will be one vacant chair; But we shall meet him over there. Funeral service was held at the Christian church (sic), Chester, Nebraska, Tuesday, March 30, 1949, at 2:30 P.M. Music was provided by a quartet composed of Clara Kechely, Zora Mae Messman, E.A. Moxham, and A.H. Davenport. Pallbearers were: E.L. Brown, William Dry, D.B. Millikin, J.B. Gallion, J.E. Woodward and Lee Larkins. Interment was made in the Chester Cemetery, Chester, Nebraska.
