Description	:	Leah Nafts, 83, of 824 Mary St., died Sunday afternoon in St. John's Lutheran Home, Billings Heights. She was born Oct. 28, 1907, in Lincoln, Neb., a daughter of John and Marie Lesser. She moved to the Billings area with her parents as a young child and received her education at the Hesper School. On March 3, 1927, she married Henry Nafts Jr. in Worden. Read More	Leah Nafts, 83, of 824 Mary St., died Sunday afternoon in St. John's Lutheran Home, Billings Heights. She was born Oct. 28, 1907, in Lincoln, Neb., a daughter of John and Marie Lesser. She moved to the Billings area with her parents as a young child and received her education at the Hesper School. On March 3, 1927, she married Henry Nafts Jr. in Worden. After their marriage, they lived on the Huntley Project and the Shepherd area, where her husband was a farmer. Mr. Nafts died April 25, 1964. She continued to live in the Shepherd area until 1979, when she moved to Billings. She enjoyed crocheting and her family. Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Delores and Lawrence Ketterling, Phyllis and Gene Ketterling and LaVerna and Al Hager, all of Billings; five sons and their wives, Harold and Denise Nafts of Benton, La., Elmer and Jo Nafts of Bridger, Melvin and Arleen Nafts, Ray and Debbie Nafts and Richard Nafts, all of Billings; a daughter-in-law, Katie Nafts of Shepherd; five sisters, Helen Hofferber, Viola Staley, Lydia Hofferber, Rachel Schrader and Amelia Ellis, all of Billings; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, two sisters, a brother and a grandson. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Smith Downtown Chapel with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
