Hymns sung were : "In The Sweet Bye and Bye," "The Home Over There," and a duet by Mrs. R.M. Taylor and L.L. Langille, "Face to Face." Pallbearers were Fred DeLong, Harold Verge, George Palmer, F.H. Minard, Ira Rhodenizer, and Laurie Wentzell. The deceased, who was a son of the late J. Leander DeLong and Sarah Jane (Durland) DeLong, was born at Union Square 73 years ago. Of this family remaining members are a brother, Maynard of Halifax; and sisters, Amy, wife of William Crandall, Barss Corner; Rachel, widow of Stanley Wentzell, Maplewood; and Miss Maude DeLong of Dayspring. His wife, before marriage Miss Mabel Knox of Worcester, Mass., died five years ago. In his immediate family there remains two sons, Frank of Halifax; Russell with the Dufferin and Haldimand Rifles; and a daughter, Marion, wife of Ray Wentzell, Maplewood.
