Description	:	Lela Aletha Taylor was born at Minden, Nebr., November 3, 1900, and passed away at the General hospital in Grand Island, Nebr., February 27, 1927. She received her education in the Minden public schools, graduating from the high school in the May of 1919. Following her graduation Lela engaged in various lines of work for some time, later attending Kearney Normal and teaching school in Garden County, Nebraska. Read More	Lela Aletha Taylor was born at Minden, Nebr., November 3, 1900, and passed away at the General hospital in Grand Island, Nebr., February 27, 1927. She received her education in the Minden public schools, graduating from the high school in the May of 1919. Following her graduation Lela engaged in various lines of work for some time, later attending Kearney Normal and teaching school in Garden County, Nebraska. On August 22, 1923 she was united in marriage to J. M. Massey of Denver, at Sioux City, Iowa. While they maintained a home at Hastings, Lela very often accompanied her husband on his business trips. Their short married life was a very happy one. Lela was endowed with a sunny disposition and a very friendly nature. Her cheery smile and gay, happy greetings, will long be remembered by those who received them. Her friendliness was appreciated by grown ups and children as well. Her kindness to dumb animals was beautiful to see. She would go to any amount of trouble to help little helpless creatures. Lela had not yet passed on life's highway " The stone that Marks the Highest Point." T'was yet Life's forenoon and, "shadows still were falling towards the west." This sudden leaving is such a force-able reminder to us all, of our frail hold on life. There's none can tell what a day or even an hour may bring forth in their lives. "Life is a narrow vale between the cold and unexpected peaks of two eternities." On the night of February 28, neighbors carried her into the same home where twenty-six and one-half years before she had started life. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon, the church where she had joined in her early childhood, and interment was made in the Minden cemetery. She leaves to mourn her loss, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Noah Taylor of this city, two brothers, two sisters, a nephew, and a large number of relatives and friends.
