Music was furnished by Mrs. Matie Brown. Burial was in the Minden cemetery. Mr. Taylor passed away quietly in his sleep and was discovered by the family when he failed to arise Saturday morning. Taylor was born in Spencer, Indiana, October 12, 1869 and died at Minden, Nebraska, September 28, 1940, at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 16 days. He came with his parents at an early date to Osco, Kearney County, Nebraska. When he was about 14 years old they moved to Minden, where he lived until his death. On November 4, 1897 he was united in marriage with Viola Clutter. To this union were born five children. Mr. Taylor was a brick maker by trade and followed that occupation for many years in early life. In his early life he united with the Presbyterian church and was a member of the local church at the time of his death. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, four children, three brothers, one sister, four grandchildren, and many neighbors and friends. Minden Courier October 3, 1940 Page 4, Column 5
