Description	:	Lela Ann Smith was the daughter of George and Martha Kinney. She was born November 25, 1889, near Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and lived with her parents until she was married to Sidney Smith October 11, 1911. They lived on a farm near Hillsboro until the time of her death. Lela and Mr. Smith lived happily together. She never tired of the duties of home and mother. She departed this life January 6, 1919, at her home. Her sickness of was of short duration of influenza and pneumonia and she bore her suffering with patience.... Read More	Lela Ann Smith was the daughter of George and Martha Kinney. She spoke of her faith in Christ saying "If I can not get well I am prepared and ready to go to my heavenly home, but my baby, my dear, precious baby." She leaves to mourn her husband and three children, Bessie, Dale, and baby Harry, her father and mother, three sisters, two brothers - Ella Bain and Neoma Rich of Wayland, Ada Scarff of Trenton, Ellis Kinney of Mt. Pleasant, Alvin Kinney of Glasgow, and a number of other relatives and friends. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wilson of Hillsboro who spoke such comforting words to the bereaved ones. She was laid to rest in the beautiful Cedar Cemetery near Denova. -- from The Salem News.
