Description	:	Lela Arnett, the daughter of George and Cora (Allen) Dixon, was born at Phillips, Nebraska, on October 5, 1893, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 22, 1984, at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 17 days. She grew up and attended school in Phillips. On August 16, 1911, she was united in marriage to Charles Arnett at Phillips. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1952. Read More	Lela Arnett, the daughter of George and Cora (Allen) Dixon, was born at Phillips, Nebraska, on October 5, 1893, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 22, 1984, at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 17 days. She grew up and attended school in Phillips. On August 16, 1911, she was united in marriage to Charles Arnett at Phillips. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1952. Most of her life was spent in Phillips, and she had served as head cook in the Phillips School for many years. She was a member of the Phillips United Methodist Church, and was an active member of the United Methodist Women's Circle. She had lived at Crossroad Courts in Aurora for six months before entering the Hamilton Manor in March of 1974. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Ila, two sons, Leland and George and one grandson Gale. Those who survive to cherish her memory are two sons, Orville of Aurora and Charles of Phillips. Four daughters, Dorothy Purdy of Phillips, Opal Ackerman of Jordan Valley, Oregon, Eunice Debban of Kennewick, Washington and Wilma Debban of Hastings; 22 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren and many other relatives and close friends.
