Description	:	Leland Troester, age 84, died Thursday, August 14, 2008, at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, August 18th at First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Wayne Oblender will officiate. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery south of Hampton. OBITUARY: LELAND TROESTER Leland Jacob Troester, the son of Herman and Helen (Salchow) Troester, was born south of Hampton, Nebraska on March 8, 1924 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on August 14, 2008, at the age of 84. He grew up in Hampton area and attended country schools through the 8th grade. Leland lived in the Hampton area his entire life where he worked as a third generation farmer on the homestead with his twin brother Lyle. For the past 11 years he has resided at the Hamilton Manor where he enjoyed playing bingo and other activities with the residents. Leland was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Aurora where he was a faithful member. He served as an usher for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leonard and sister Ardith Kokes. Those left to cherish his memory are his brother Lyle Troester of Aurora; four nephews and two nieces.
