She had been a resident of Cedar Rapids until moving to Columbus in 1972. Wednesday 10:30 a.m. funeral services are set at St. Anthony Catholic church, Cedar Rapids, with burial in the parish cemetery. Rev. R.H. Nienaber will officiate. Wednesday 10:30 a.m. funeral services are set at St. Anthony Catholic church, Cedar Rapids, with burial in the parish cemetery. Rev. R.H. Nienaber will officiate. She will lie in state at McKown Funeral Home, Columbus, from 1 p.m. Tuesday until 9 a.m. Wednesday and at the church after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Rosary service will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at McKown Chapel. Daughter of William and Catherine (Homscheid) Bellinghausen, she was born Feb. 4, 1881, at McHenry, Ill. She attended St. Francis School, Humphrey, and married John B. Lachnit on July 19, 1899, at St. Mary Catholic Church, rural Humphrey. They moved to Cedar Rapids in 1907. A member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Mrs. Lachnit was the last surviving Gold Star Mother in the Cedar Rapids unit. Surviving are six sons, Frank of Riverside, Ill., Leonard of Cottage Hills, Ill., Lawrence of Torrance, Calif., Joseph of Columbus, Anthony of River Grove, Ill., Walter of Federal Way, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Paproski of Columbus, Mrs. Harold (Evelyn) Snyder of Villa Park, Ill. 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband and six sons, Vincent, Edward, Albert, Raymond, Herman and Martin.
