She was a retired school teacher, having taught 35 years, 16 years in Couch and 19 years in Francis-Howell District in St. Charles County. Services were held June 30, 1988 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, MO with Rev. David Case officiating. ("Carter Funeral Home" in Thayer, MO)

Mrs. Harpole was my first grade teacher. She also took me to church with her, and that made a big difference in my life. She was a wonderful Christian woman!
