Description	:	"Lena Boyd, the 18-year-old daughter of Bert Boyd, a well known farmer of the Hiattville neighborhood, died Sunday evening at Mount Carmel hospital, Pittsburg, following an operation for appendicitis. Miss. Boyd had gone there to visit with relatives and was taken suddenly ill Saturday. Her condition rapidly became worse and it was thought advisable to send her to the hospital. There-it was decided that the operation would be necessary to save her life. When the operation was performed it was found that her condition was much worse than had been expected and death resulted Sunday evening at a late hour.... The father and other, relatives had been called from Hiattville. The body was brought here last night and was this afternoon taken on to Hiattville. There the funeral service was held this afternoon at three o'clock from the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. Ray True. Interment was made in the Hiattville cemetery. Miss Boyd was one of the well known young ladies of the Hiattville neighborhood and her death is extremely regretted by all. Her mother died only. a few months ago and she is survived' by her father, three brothers and a sister."
