She was born on December 20, 1938, in Surry County to the late Jack Andrew and Avie Jackson Arnder. Mrs. Walker worked as a Homemaker and was a Mizpah Moravian; and a founder and president of Parkview Action Committee. She was born on December 20, 1938, in Surry County to the late Jack Andrew and Avie Jackson Arnder. Airy and Billy Edlena Bryant (Tomi) Reep of Winston-Salem; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Jacky (Louise) Arnder of Summerfield, John (Mary) Arnder of Mt. Airy; eight grandchildren: Julia, Jamie, Joey, Chris, Tommy, Michael, Taylor and Bren; and six great-grandchildren: Brittany, Chris, Eli, Josh, Joey and Tommy. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Tony James Collins; one daughter, Peggy Tamera Collins Semones; three brothers; and one sister. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Cox-Needham Chapel at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Jon Boling and the Rev. Tim Sapp officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home of Winston-Salem.
