Mrs. Ray Schmidt, organist accompanied the choir who sang "Rock of Ages" and the congregation who sang "Abide with Me." Lena Olga, daughter of Henry Plagge and Augusta nee Koenig was born on April 5, 1902 in the Charter Oak Township. She was baptized, confirmed and married in the St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak. She was united into marriage to William L. Namanny on February 9, 1920. Lena Olga, daughter of Henry Plagge and Augusta nee Koenig was born on April 5, 1902 in the Charter Oak Township. She was baptized, confirmed and married in the St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak. She was united into marriage to William L. Namanny on February 9, 1920. The couple lived on the homeplace south west of Schleswig for forty years. In 1965 they purchased a home in Schleswig. She is survived by her husband, William L. of Schleswig, four sons, Leonard of Denison, Wilbert of Deloit, Kenneth of Denison and William H. of Omaha, four daughters, Marcella wife of Melvin Petersen of Deloit, Donna Mae, wife of Donavon Wed of Sioux City, Shirley, wife of William Ahart of Denison and LaDene Weis of Sioux City. She is also survived by thirty-two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three brothers, Fred of Charter Oak, Adolph of Mapleton, and Henry of Blenco, Texas, three sisters, Minnie of Schleswig, Annie of Charter Oak and Hilda of Charter Oak. She died unexpectedly at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City on Friday, July 14, at the age of 65 years, 3 months and 9 days. She was a life long member of the Lutheran Church, belonging to the Aquila Priscilla Guild and the Ladies Aid Society of the Immanuel Lutheran Church congregation. Pallbearers were Ralph Vogt, Ray Namanny, Ronald Maack, Orlan Creese, DeWayne Vogt, and Elmer Namanny. Interment was made in the Memory Gardens at Denison.
