Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, Aberdeen. She was born on August 3, 1901 in Kussoth County, Iowa, to Meiner and Gretchen (Duin) Aswege. She married Max Oschmann in Columbia on June 14, 1933 and he preceded her in death on February 2, 1976. She then married Bruno Failoni on February 14, 1989 and he preceded her in death on May 24, 1993. Lena lived in the Aberdeen area until June of 1993 when she moved to Caledonia, Minn. She had been a resident of the Lutheran Home since September of 1996. Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Elsie Aswege, Brookly Center, Minn., and Ella Aswege Smith, Colorado, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, five sisters and seven brothers. Casketbearers were Erling Podoll, Dan Larson, Armand Aswege, Wilfried Meers, Lavern Rixe, and Melvin Larson. Alvera Neuman was the organist.
