Born in Nelson County, May 18, 1896, he was the son of the late Aylett Hause and Annie Nevis Dodd Fitzgerald. Mr. Fitzgerald was a retired farmer and a member of the Beech Grove Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Estelle B. Fitzgerald; five sons, Hause B. Fitzgerald of Faber, James P. Fitzgerald of Roseland, Ralph E. Fitzgerald of Colonial Heights, Willard W. Fitzgerald of Baltimore and Lennie M. Fitzgerald Jr. of Faber; one daughter, Mrs. John (Kathleen) Woodroff of Lynchburg; one brother, Hersey Fitzgerald of Waynesboro; two sisters Mrs. Sallie F. Quick of Waynesboro and Mrs. Thomas E. (Sue) Fitzgerald; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Beech Grove Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. J. D. Farris, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the Etter Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Active pallbearers will be Willard McGann, Leslie Fitzgerald, Stanley Mays, T. H. Wright, Layman Dodd, Carl Carter, Pete Falls and Ausby Sheffield. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Bryant, Leslie Graves, Norman Fitzgerald, Alan Kissner, Ronnie Daniels, James Fitzgerald, Milton Fitzgerald, Alec Kidd, John Thomas, Worthy Thompson, Wendell Dodd, David Dodd, Maphis Campbell, Maryland Campbell, Hawthorne Falls, Maxie Campbell and Basil Campbell.
