Description	:	Lenora S. 'Nonie' Tucker, 85, of Abbeville, wife of the late James M. Tucker, Sr., died Saturday, September 17, 2016, at the Abbeville Nursing Home. She was born in Abbeville to the late Robert and Emma Patton Sorrow. Mrs. Tucker retired from Parke-Davis in Greenwood after 23 years of dedicated service and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Due West. She will be remembered with much love and respect by her family and friends. 'Nonie' Tucker, 85, of Abbeville, wife of the late James M. Tucker, Sr., died Saturday, September 17, 2016, at the Abbeville Nursing Home. She was born in Abbeville to the late Robert and Emma Patton Sorrow. Mrs. Tucker retired from Parke-Davis in Greenwood after 23 years of dedicated service and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Due West. She will be remembered with much love and respect by her family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Tucker; two brothers, Pete Sorrow and George Sorrow; and six sisters, Agnes Scott, Grace Hyatt, Rosella Elliott, Darlene Erwin, Emma Norton and Ester Kennedy. Mrs. Tucker is survived by her three daughters, Frances Jean Tucker of Greenwood, Glenda McPhail and her husband, John of Abbeville, and Patty Thomas and her husband, Rev. Mike Thomas of Gadsden, Ala; a son, Rev. Jimmy Tucker and his wife Sherri of Greenwood; eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30PM on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00PM in Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Tucker and Rev. Ray Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. Tucker, may be sent to a charity of one's choice.
