McGarry February 22, 1941 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Villa Nova. The couple farmed in the Villa Nova area until retirement in 1982. They moved to DeWitt in 1987. Leo was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Villa Nova, as well as St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt, and the Knights of Columbus. God, his wife and his family were foremost in Leo's life. He was a farmer through and through and found great joy in every aspect of it. Leo, a very caring man, enjoyed chats on almost any subject over a warm cup of tea. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. Leo was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all. Preceding Leo in death were an infant daughter, Rosalie Frances, his parents, and siblings, Joe, Robert, Mary, Charlie, Gerald, Ambrose, Paul and Tom.
