Description	:	Funeral services for Leo Mancil will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005 in the Occupy #1 Baptist Church in Pitkin with the Revs. Brad Perkins and James Johnson officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Fort Polk Honor Guard of the U.S. Army in the Occupy #1 Cemetery. Interment will be under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mr. Mancil, age 83, of Pitkin entered eternal rest on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005 in Tioga, La. He was born on April 15, 1921 in Pitkin and was a resident of Pitkin for several years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his duty during WWII. He retired from the civil service as a warehouse leaderman at Fort Polk. Mr. Mancil was also the owner and operator of Mancil Grocery for several years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mable Mancil; his parents, Houston and Emily Maricle Mancil; one grandson, Damon Thad Mancil; and one brother, Dennis Mancil. Those left to cherish his memory are three sons, Bruce Mancil of Tioga, Charles Mancil and Don Mancil of Pitkin; one daughter, Gwen Monet of New Iberia; one stepdaughter, Ruth Bowie of Tioga; three sisters, Genovia Emberly of Tioga, Norma Jean Randow of Pineville and Olene Reel of West Virginia; one brother, Genoa Mancil of Pitkin; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Michael Bowie, Tracy Bowie, Justin Mancil, Matt Mancil, Shannon Mancil and Trey Mancil. Honorary pallbearers will be Janet Dupuis and Lacey Mancil.
