Description	:	Leo Theodore Mizner was born in Litchfield, Nebraska to John Franklin Mizner and Carrie Barbara Mizner. Leo left us to be with the Lord, surrounded by family and friends. As dear family friend and Pastor Gary Neilan likes to say, he was 99 years, 10 months and 21 days old. Leo left us to be with the Lord, surrounded by family and friends. As dear family friend and Pastor Gary Neilan likes to say, he was 99 years, 10 months and 21 days old. Leo married his first wife, Ruth Marie Eaton in 1930, and from this union three children were born, Shirley Mowry (George) of Presho, SD, Bernice Thury (Jack Schneider) of Bloomington, MN, and Gene Mizner (Marina) of Caldwell, ID. After the passing of Leo's wife Ruth, Leo married Betty Jane McCaffrey in 1952 and from this union were four children, Bill Mizner (Kathy) of Norfolk, NE, Barb Curry (Russ) of Hanford, CA, Kevin Mizner (Sharon) of Tulare, CA and Keith Mizner of Fresno, CA. Leo and Betty had been married 57 years at the time of his passing. Leo spent his life serving the Lord as well as serving the communities he has been a part of in numerous ways. As a young man, he worked for the Weston Oil Company in Nebraska and Wyoming. He later moved to South Dakota where he had several work opportunities. He operated a general store on the Rosebud Indian Reservation, owned and operated a locker plant, farmed, was a meat cutter in a local market, was a school bus driver and custodian. After moving to California in 1977, Leo managed the Learner Service Station on Grangeville Blvd as well as served the Lord's Housekeeper with his wife, Betty at the First United Methodist Church in Hanford, California. Leo worked well into his nineties and was a living example of a strong work ethic. Leo was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Opal, Bing, Virgil (Shorty), and Tot. Leo is survived by his wife, Betty, his sister, Merna of Payson, AZ, as well as all children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
