Read More	Leo Truman McCullough April 2, 1921 - March 2, 2008 Leo Truman McCullough passed away peacefully at his Grand Junction home, March 2, 2008, with his family by his side. Leo was born to Loney and Daisy McCullough on April 2, 1921, in Enid Oklahoma. He spent most of his life in the Houston, Texas area before joining the Navy during WWII. Leo moved to Palisade, Colorado in 1944 where he met and married Donna Maxine Aumiller on September 11, 1944, at the Palisade Church of the Nazarene. Together they made their home in the Grand Junction area raising five children. Leo will be remembered for his ability to never meet a stranger and the joy he found in helping others. He helped with the construction of Bethel Assembly of God Church in 1955, where he was a charter member of the church; spreading his love of Christ through his participation in church planting throughout Colorado, Arizona, and Oregon. Leo enjoyed the outdoors, music, travel, and laughter. He honored his friends and loved his family and church. Leo looked forward to being with Jesus and did not fear death, but clearly did not want to stop living. Leo loved life. In spite of life's challenges Leo's accomplishments were many, but the most important was his deep faith in God and the same deep desire and capability of sharing Jesus Christ with anyone and everyone. Small in stature, Leo was commonly referred to as "lightning" because of his fast pace working habits, quick steps, and unusual run type walk. Leo began his work habits early working in the cotton fields and the family broom factory in the state of Texas. Leo's hard working career continued with Donna by his side in the peach orchards, house building, warehouse loading docks, uranium mines, truck driving, mechanics, and his own truck tire repair business, as well as taking great pride in being an ordained minister. Leo was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and grandchildren Loney and Norma Jean. Leo leaves behind his wife of 63 years Donna McCullough of Grand Junction, five children; Pam (Todd) Miracle of Grand Junction, Colorado; Lee (David) Manuel of La Grande, Oregon; Jeanie (Jim) Rhines of Grand Junction, Colorado; Deann (Brenda) McCullough of Phoenix, Arizona and Keene (Alice) McCullough of Grand Junction, Colorado and son-in-law Larry Braden of Oregon. Visitation will take place at Martin Mortuary 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Thursday March 6, 2008 with service Friday March 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with full military honors. THANK YOU DADDY Thank you Daddy, for showing Jesus' love for teaching Jesus' love for sharing Jesus' love. Thank you Daddy, for not being afraid to love for not being afraid to cry for not being afraid to sing for not being afraid to pray. Thank you Daddy, for loving my mother for holding her like no other for protecting, defending, and sacrificing for your family. Thank you Daddy, for loving me unconditionally for believing in me for dreaming with me for being a hero to my children. Thank you Daddy, for unbelievable compassion for unnecessary forgiveness for unquestionable faith for unbelievable determination. Thank you Daddy, for amazing memories for singing "Victory is Jesus" for praying all night, not just a bedtime rhyme, but weeping, studing, and seeking from dusk to dawn night after night. Thank you Daddy, for examples by actions: that working is not a choice, but an opportunity to touch and help as many as possible that money is not a goal, but a tool to provide and share that religion and denomination is a choice, but Jesus is the bottom line that allowing Him to be the Lord of your life is a privilege not a challenge. Thank you Daddy, for helping the heavenly Father prepare a place for your family. We will miss you for now, but please tell everyone we'll be coming home when our work is done.
