Description	:	OBITUARY: LEON LALOUETTE DIES - July 10th 1945- Leon August Lalouette, well known citizen of this community died at Axtell Hospital, Newton, Kansas, Tuesday evening at 8:25 p.m., July 10, 1945. He was the son of early Kansas pioneers, August and Leonie Marie Lalouette and was born December 20, 1879 in the old family homestead where he lived his entire life and was residing at the time of his death. Read More	OBITUARY: LEON LALOUETTE DIES - July 10th 1945- Leon August Lalouette, well known citizen of this community died at Axtell Hospital, Newton, Kansas, Tuesday evening at 8:25 p.m., July 10, 1945. He was the son of early Kansas pioneers, August and Leonie Marie Lalouette and was born December 20, 1879 in the old family homestead where he lived his entire life and was residing at the time of his death. He was baptized in the Catholic Church and raised in that faith which he maintained until his passing. He received the last sacrament Tuesday morning and passed away in the peace of God Tuesday evening. He was united in marriage October 6, 1913, to Anna Margaret Carpenter, daughter of Jerome and Carolina Carpenter. To this union was born three children, two daughters and one son. His funeral was held July 14, 1945, at the Catholic Church in Florence, Kansas. Monsignor Leo Klasinski officiating and blessing his grave. He leaves to mourn him his beloved wife, Anna Lalouette, his daughters, Margaret Jones of San Diego, California, and Mary Grimmett of Florence, Kansas, and a son, John Lalouette of Florence, Kansas. Also, three grandchildren, Edwin, Leo and Anna Lea Grimmett and one brother, Ernest Lalouette of Florence. He was a great lover of thoroughbred stock and always interested in the betterment of his community. He was a loving husband, kind father and a good neighbor.
