Description	:	Leona Anna (Schnoor) Jensen was born to her loving parents Johannes Christian Detlaf and Ida Louisa Marie (Metschke) Schnoor on Thursday April 20, 1916 at Scribner, Dodge County Nebraska. Leona was baptized at St. Peter Lutheran at Snyder, Dodge County by the Rev. Carl Hoffmann. Leona attended school at district 60, St. Peter's Parochial, and Scribner High. Read More	Leona Anna (Schnoor) Jensen was born to her loving parents Johannes Christian Detlaf and Ida Louisa Marie (Metschke) Schnoor on Thursday April 20, 1916 at Scribner, Dodge County Nebraska. Leona was baptized at St. Peter Lutheran at Snyder, Dodge County by the Rev. Carl Hoffmann. Leona attended school at district 60, St. Peter's Parochial, and Scribner High. Leona was united in marriage to Evald Jensen on November 24, 1946 at St. Peter Lutheran Church at Scribner, they were blessed with one daughter over the years of their marriage. The couple first lived in Marquette, Hamilton County from 1946 to 1949. Then the Jensen's moved southwest of Snyder where they farmed and Leona was active in gardening. They built and moved into a new home at Snyder in 1980. Leona over the years was always active in the Ladies' Aid group of her church. Leona was a member of the St. Peter Church, the VFW Auxiliary 8439, the Concordia Guild, the Webster Women's Extension, and the Lutheran Laymen's League. Leona moved to the Scribner Good Samaritan Center in May of 1990. On Tuesday July 3, 1990 at 7:15a Leona was transported to Fremont Dodge County Hospital. Sadly Leona passed that day at the age of 74 years, 2 months, 13 days which does not include her last day, she lived a total of 27,102 days. Leona's funeral service was held at St. Peter's Lutheran of Scribner on Friday July 6, 1990 at 10a with the Rev. Donald Brunner officiating. Louise Tuchenhagen was the organist and the congregation sang "What A Friend We Have In Jesus", "The Lord Is My Shepherd", and "Amazing Grace". Leona was interred in the Scribner Municipal Cemetery. The Spear-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of her arrangements. Leona's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Leona by a family friend Loren R. I believe all lives matter, even the lives of those who have passed.
