Services were held at 8 p.m. Monday eve., May 19 at the Haylock-O_Hara-Kedley Funeral Home in Maquoketa. On Wednesday May 21, 100:00 a.m. services were held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Webster City with Rev. G.L. Milbrath officiating. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. Leona Sandvig, daughter of Louis and Dorothea Bondhus Sandvig was born June 17, 1915 at Graettinger, Iowa where she was baptized and confirmed in First Lutheran Church and graduated with the class of 1932 from Graettinger High School. She graduated from Iowa School of Beauty Culture in Des Monies. On Nov. 5, 1929, she was married to Robert R. Lehmann, and the couple moved to Davenport where Mr. Lehmann was manager of the Production Credit Association office. In 1946 when Robert returned from W. W. II, they moved back to Webster City and took over management of the P.C.A. office there. Leona operated the former Leona's Beauty Shop. Mr. Lehmann preceded her in death in November, 1963 and in 1966 Leona moved back to Davenport. She then managed the beauty salon in Peterson's department store in Davenport for a number of years. She sold insurance for Bankers Life for a number of years, and at the time of her death, was associated with the Tri- State Auction and Realty, selling real estate in Maquoketa. She married Leland Nelson Dec. 29, 1972, and the couple made their home in Maquoketa. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Michael (Janis) Kirkpatrick of Davenport: two sisters, Mrs. Jens (Malvina) Rasmussen of Wallingford, Iowa and Mrs. Harold (Harriet) Brady of Ruthven, Iowa. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa, national hairdressers' Association and the American Business Women's Association. .
