Description	:	Leona Verne Graham, daughter of Ephriam H. and Sadie McBride Graham, was born August 21, 1905 in Republic county (sic), Kansas and departed this life January 27, 1955 at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. She graduated from Hubbell high school and attended Hastings college. She was a teacher in the rural schools of Thayer county (sic) for two years. Later she did practical nursing at Bailey Sanitarium in Lincoln, aslo at the Lincoln Clinic. The last ten years she has made a home for her father at the family home in Hubbell, her mother preceding her in death... Read More	Leona Verne Graham, daughter of Ephriam H. and Sadie McBride Graham, was born August 21, 1905 in Republic county (sic), Kansas and departed this life January 27, 1955 at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. She graduated from Hubbell high school and attended Hastings college. She was a teacher in the rural schools of Thayer county (sic) for two years. Later she did practical nursing at Bailey Sanitarium in Lincoln, aslo at the Lincoln Clinic. The last ten years she has made a home for her father at the family home in Hubbell, her mother preceding her in death in the year of 1939. For the past five years she has been clerk in the Hubbell Post Office and her courteous manner has made her many friends. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church but the last several years she has been a faithful worked in the Methodist Church as Sunday School teacher and church treasurer. She leaves to mourn her loss her son, William; her father, E.H. Graham; brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Gwinn Graham, all of Hubbell; her sister, Mrs. Mary Clark of Hastings; three nieces, two nephews, other relatives and many friends. Leona was a very loving mother and daughter, a wonderful friend and it may be said of her that she had patience enough to toil until some task was accomplished, charity enough to see some good in every friend, love enough to be useful and helpful to everyone and faith to make real the things of God. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Jan. 30 at the Hubbell Methodist Church with Rev. J.F. Bartleson in charge. Chester Herald, unknown date
