Doug retired from Millard Public Schools working as a maintenance engineer at Millard West High School. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Millard, Miracle Hills Optimist Club, Omaha and served as State Director of Nebraska Good Sam Camping Clubs. He also served as a Boy Scout leader for Troop 434 for 8 years. Doug was a loving, kind, gentle and compassionate husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was an inspiration to many over his lifetime and as he valiantly fought pancreatitis the past year while in the hospital. His passions were his family and camping. VISITATION Sunday from 5-7pm, Prayer Service at 7pm, at Crosby Colonial Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICE Monday 10:30am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 13271 Millard Ave. Interment at 2pm at Prospect Hill Cemetery, 219th and Maple St, Elkhorn, NE.
