Read More	Leonard Lynch KENT - Leonard Lynch, beloved husband, father and friend, passed away January 7, 2007 at the age of 80. He was born June 7, 1926 in Summerville, Missouri. He was smart, hardworking, athletic and handsome. His family moved from Missouri during the depression and settled in Sunnyside, WA. He was popular with his friends, had a great sense of humor, and was always willing to give a hand to help someone. He joined the Marines right out of school and fought in World War II and the Korean War. He survived heavy fighting and was nicknamed "Lucky Lynch". He had an impeccable service record and received many military honors. When he returned from the service, he met and fell in love with a very special girl. He married LaVon Crowe on February 19, 1955 at the Sunnyside Baptist Church. She took care of him. She took care of him until she died on April 11, 2005. They were married for 50 years. Leonard and LaVon moved from Sunnyside to Kent and had two daughters (Laurie, 1958 and Linda, 1961). He was a devoted father and grandfather and his daughters and grandchildren loved him very much. He taught them to help others, to be conscientious, courageous and strong, to be self-sufficient and persevere during difficult times. He always provided for them, protected them and kept them safe. Thanks, Dad. As a Manager for Boeing he retired after over 30 years of service. He touched many lives and was well known and liked for his excellence and fairness. He loved listening to music, playing the guitar, camping, fishing and traveling. He was an expert marksman and had a special gift for fixing things. He traveled all over the United States, Europe and Asia. He was a very special man. He will be missed but never forgotten. Leonard is survived by a loving family; daughter and son-in-law Linda and Matt Norton; grandchildren Matthew and Michelle Norton; brother John Lynch; sisters Judy Friend and Pearl Wright, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife LaVon Lynch, daughter Laurie Lynch, parents Grover and Gladys Lynch, sisters Ella Arnold, Noriene Hill, Aleda Campbell, Dorothy Partch; brothers Kenneth, Jim and Carl Lynch. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Jan. 13 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church (272nd and Military Rd in Kent). His final resting place will be Hillcrest Burial Park.
