Description	:	KESLER LEONARD WEBB KESLER, beloved husband of Ruth Kesler of Raymond , passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2002 at the age of 79 years. He is the loving father of: Norman (Karen) of Raymond, Gordon (Joyce) of Sun Lakes, AZ, Eleanor (Bob) Conrad of Fort Macleod, Trudie (Bill) Fyle of Lethbridge; He is also leaves behind a daughter-in-law, Kay Kesler, of Calgary. Dad was the youngest of three sons of Elmer and Florence Kesler. He was born in Lethbridge and raised in New Dayton and Raymond area. He received his elementary education at the Troy School which he traveled to on horseback. He attended high school in Raymond where he excelled in academic studies, skipping several grades. After completing his schooling he worked on the farm. He worked the sugar beet campaign for several seasons as well as being a heavy equipment operator on the Ridge Reservoir Dam. He met the love of his life, Ruth Hudson, at the Mammoth School. He courted her from the farm by traveling back and forth by horse. He married his sweetheart on February 12, 1943. Later on they were sealed for time and all eternity on June 9, 1965. Dad was active in the community be serving on the New Dayton School Board, the New Dayton Rod and Golf Club and the Raymond Fish and Game. He enjoyed sports such as curling and pool, but his greatest love was the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Dad's love and devotion to Mom since her illness has been unwavering and an example to all who have shared in this time. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding various positions: 1st councilor in the bishopric, scouting, Sunday School, High Priest Group Leader, and was a dependable, devoted home teacher. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, RAYMOND STAKE CENTRE, Raymond, AB with Bishop Warren Depew officiating.
