The Boothby Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. She was born June l3, 1896 to James and Lura Hilton Stewart on a farm north of Meriden. She was married to Lincoln Hahn on May 28, 1914 in Cherokee County. She had lived at Sunset Knoll Retirement Home in Aurelia since 1977, in Cherokee from 1953 until 1977, and prior to this on a farm in Silver Township. She was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church, the Rebekah Lodge, the Silverette Club and was very active in all church related activities. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Lucille and John Cox of Cherokee, and Charlene and Don Peterson of Storm Lake; a son and his wife, Gerald and Donna Hahn of Cherokee; 10 grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; three greatgreat grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on Aug. 30,1959, an infant daughter, a daughter and son-in-law Florence and Clifford Bruce, a grandson. Dennis Bruce killed in Viet Nam, one brother and two sisters.
