Description	:	LeRoy”Buster" Brewster, the eldest child of Ethan and Belle Brewster, was born July 5, 1906 at Rodney, Iowa. He was baptized into the Christian faith in infancy. In 1925 he graduated from the Laurens High School and the following year enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He spent thirty-eight months of his four-year enlistment in Shanghai, China. He was baptized into the Christian faith in infancy. In 1925 he graduated from the Laurens High School and the following year enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He spent thirty-eight months of his four-year enlistment in Shanghai, China. On November 28, 1932 he was united in marriage to Esther Bodholdt at Newell, Iowa, where he has since resided. At the time of his marriage he became a member of the Nain Lutheran Church. In April 1943 he entered the service of the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Des Moines. For several years he had been employed as an electronic technician for Neptune Systems of Chicago until in November 1965 when he was incapacitated by injuries suffered in a fall. After a brief illness, Buster was taken to the Buena Vista Hospital at Storm Lake and was later transferred to St. Joseph's Hospital at Sioux City, Iowa, where he passed away on Saturday evening, January 24, at the age of 63 years, 6 months, and 19 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his two brothers Paul and Albert, and by his sister, Lydia. He is survived by his wife Esther, one sister Faye, and her husband Harold Hakeman of Waukee, Iowa, two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Dorthea Brewster of Laurens and Mrs. Ruby Brewster of Des Moines, nieces and nephews, many other relatives, and a host of friends. His ready wit, his congeniality and his words of encouragement endeared him to the hearts of the many children of all ages who were privileged to know him and who found an ever-ready welcome at his home. Although Buster, had the misfortune of being involved in several accidents in which he sustained serious injuries, he will be remembered for his heroic and gallant efforts to overcome
