Carmean of St. Marys and Marilyn Wallace, Betty (Ronald) Spyker and Patricia (Robert) Sabo, all of Wapakoneta; a brother, Donald (Jackie) Koenig of Lima; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Koenig. Mr. Koenig was a tool and die maker with General dynamics-Lima tank Plant and co-owner of Fred's East Side Market in Wapakoneta. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles 691, Veterans of foreign Wars 8445, AmVets 333, American Legion 330 and Knights of Columbus 1272, all of Wapakoneta. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1958. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. William Eilerman officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Long & Folk Funeral Home at Wapakoneta. A Christian prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Auglaize Unit of the American Cancer Society.
