Description	:	LeRoy McFarland passed away at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McFarland, in Albion, Saturday at 12:45 p.m. He was taken ill last spring and from that time on his health gradually failed. Everything possible was done to combat his ailment but without avail and after spending several weeks in a hospital, he was brought to the home of his parents to await the end. LeRoy McFarland was born in Mills county, Iowa, on June 6th, 1887, and came to Nebraska with his parents in 1900, and located with them on a farm northeast of Albion. On November 28th, 1908, he was married to Miss Rose Hammond at Albion and to this union was born three children, one dying in infancy. He leaves to mourn his early departure his wife, two children, father and mother, five sisters and two brothers. Three years ago he moved to his father’s farm and has been farming there ever since or until his late illness forced him to give up work. He was a kind father, a loving husband and a good neighbor and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. During his illness he was cared for by his wife, mother, brothers and sisters and bore his sufferings without complaint and expressed his readiness to lay down his life of suffering for a life of rest and peace. The funeral was held from the Methodist church Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Trickey, in the absence of Rev. Main, and the body laid at rest in Rose Hill.
