Description	:	LeRoy was the son of John and Mary Ann (Wilson) Jennings. He married Mabel (Ferguson) daughter of Thomas and Emma Ferguson on 24 July 1908 in LeMars, Plymouth County, Iowa. After her death he married Ivy Myrtle (Morehead) on Aug 19,1943. He didn't have any children by either marriage but raised two of his nephews. Obituary LE ROY JENNINGS LeRoy Jennings, 83, 208 Second Ave. NW, retired farmer and longtime custodian for LeMars public schools, died Tuesday night (Jan. 9, 1973) at the Orange City Community hospital after an illness of over a year. He had been hospitalized two months. Mr. Jennings was born March 2, 1888, in Le Mars, the son of the late John and Mary Ann (Wilson) Jennings. He married Ivy M. Morehead Aug. 19, 1943, at Adaville. Mr. Jennings had lived in the LeMars area his entire life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Fraternal Order of Woodman of the World, and was active in the adult fellowship of the church. Funeral services are pending at the First Baptist Church in LeMars. Rev. George Dunn will officiate. [Interesting note in the margin written in my Grandmother's handwriting...."Geo. Jennings held the service because of the sudden death of Dr. Dunn.] Burial will be in LeMars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home. Survivors are his wife, Ivy, of LeMars and two adopted sons, John Jennings of Bellflower, Calif., and George Jennings of Beaver Falls, Pa. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mable (Ferguson) Jennings in 1941 and several brothers and sisters. -------------------------
