Description	:	Leslie D. Alexander, one of five children of Fred and Ida Koehler Alexander, was born on August 17, 1921, at Bladen, Nebraska. Les was educated at Bladen. He served his country during World War II in the United State Navy. He was married to Betty Haag on June 29, 1947, at Hastings, Nebraska. To this union five children were born. He was proud of his community, where he had served on the... Read More	Leslie D. Alexander, one of five children of Fred and Ida Koehler Alexander, was born on August 17, 1921, at Bladen, Nebraska. Les was educated at Bladen. He served his country during World War II in the United State Navy. He was married to Betty Haag on June 29, 1947, at Hastings, Nebraska. To this union five children were born. Superior was where Les made his home, where he was in the automobile business with his brothers since 1947. He enjoyed working and being outside. He was proud of his community, where he had served on the schoolboard, was a member of the Superior Masonic Lodge, Eagles, Elks, American Legion, and a member of the Methodist Church. He liked Superior and the friendship of many friends and all the good times which only a small town like Superior could offer. He was especially proud of his family and his children and their accomplishments, and his grandson, Mathew. Les was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Ida Alexander of Hastings; his widow, Betty of Superior;two sons, Ronald of Omaha and Randy and daughter-in-law, Debbie of Kearney, Carla Alexander of Lincoln, and Tammy Alexander of Superior; three brothers, Carroll and Fred of Superior, and Eugene of Bladen; one sister, Marcella (Mrs. Joe Rundus) of Las Vegas, Nevada; and his grandson, Mathew Alexander. Les died in Superior on May 14, 1977, at the age of 55 years, 8 months, and 27 days. Funeral services were held from the Megrue-Price Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, May 17. Reverend Marion Knoell officiated. Ava Maria was played on the organ by Carlita Price. Casketbearers were Dale Kinyoun, Marshall Vale, Bob Poole, Larry Whitney, Bruce Ayers, and Merle File. Burial along with military rites by the Superior V.F.W. and American Legion Posts was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Superior.
