Five children were born to their union. ____ Newspaper Clipping 1960 Leslie Sinnett Dies After Long Illness Leslie Scott Sinnett, who has been in ill health for the past 12 years, died in Larned, Sunday, November 20, at the age of 72. Mr. Sinnett was born in Alva Oklahoma, May 10, 1888. He was the son to the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Sinnett. He moved with his parents to Kingman County in 1891 and the family lived west of Kingman. In 1896 he moved, with his parents, into Kingman, and this has been his home since that time. He married Ida Bright [sic] in Kingman in February, 1908. The long-time Kingman resident was a member of the Christian Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 23, in the Baptist church. Rev. George Robey will officiate. Burial will be in the Hoosier cemetery. Survivors include the widow of the home on rural route 1; two daughters, Ida Robey and Leila Jones, both of Kingman; three sons, Lee Roy, Kingman, Harry, whose home is in Georgia, but who at the present time is stationed in Germany with the armed forces, and Earl of Hutchinson; two brothers, Jess and Roy, both of Kingman; and one sister, Mrs. Lucy Steffen of Nashville; 25 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. ______________ Note: Leslie's WWI Draft Registration shows his middle name as Silas and his social security application shows he was born in Barber County, Kansas.
