Description	:	Lester David Wood. 71, of Fleming, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 1995, at his home. Visitation will begin at noon Sunday, Oct. 22, at the Chaney- Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Closed casket services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23 at the Chaney-Walters Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Schott officiating. Burial will be at the Fleming Cemetery. Henry Schott officiating. Burial will be at the Fleming Cemetery. Mr. Wood was born on March 31, 1924 in Fleming to David Lester and Ada Melinda Brown Wood. He was raised in Fleming, where he attended school. He graduated from Fleming High School. He was a bronc rider and cowboy for 40 years.On Sept. 10, 1950 he married Ellen I. McKnight in Sterling. He also worked at the sugar factory for 27 years and as a meat cutter in Haxtun and Sterling. He retired in 1986 near Fleming, where he lived all of his life. He is survived by two sisters, Victoria Hubbard and Minnie Dun can, both of Rupert, Idaho; a brother Bernard and wife Laraine Wood of Big Timber, Mont.; a niece, Debra and husband Jerry Hill of Sterling and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Ellen on May 12,1995. Memorials can be made in memory of Lester Wood.
