Services were Saturday, April 28, 2007 in Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church, rural Kalona, with Pastor Don Patterson and Pastor Dick Swartzendruber officiating. Burial is in Lower Deer Creek Cemetery. Visitation in Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona. He attended Oakland rural school. He was united in marriage to Pauline Miller July 6, 1941 in Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church. With his father, Mr. Yoder founded Yoder Feed Mill near Frytown in 1934. Throughout the years, the business grew to become a multi-faceted agribusiness from which he retired in 1992. Mr. Yoder served on the boards of American Feed Manufacturer, Farmers Electric, Iowa Mennonite School, Iowa Mennonite Central Committee and the Kalona Historical Society. He was a lifelong member of Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church. He was active in various antique truck clubs and wrench collectors' societies. He participated in the WMT Tractorcade for the last six years and was the oldest participant for the last two years. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Yoder of Frytown; four children, Loran and wife April Yoder of Frytown, Joyce Yoder of Bethesda, Maryland, Shirley Yoder and husband Gary Bell of Frytown and Calmar and Damon and wife Jan Yoder of Saint Charles, Illinois; and seven grandchildren, Michael and Nathan Yoder, Elaine and Erica Yoder, CJ, Spencer and Jamison Yoder.
