Description	:	LESTER HEIDEN Lester Vinson Heiden was born in Chicago January 1, 1901, and passed away September 30, 1939, at his home at 505 West Willow street, Cherokee, Iowa, at the age of 38 years 9 months. Mr. Heiden received his education and graduated from high school at Ringstead; Iowa. He then moved with his mother and sister to Fort Dodge, Iowa, and from there moved to Cherokee October 19, 1919. Read More	LESTER HEIDEN Lester Vinson Heiden was born in Chicago January 1, 1901, and passed away September 30, 1939, at his home at 505 West Willow street, Cherokee, Iowa, at the age of 38 years 9 months. Mr. Heiden received his education and graduated from high school at Ringstead; Iowa. He then moved with his mother and sister to Fort Dodge, Iowa, and from there moved to Cherokee October 19, 1919. He was united in marriage to Ruth E. Fletcher, July 20, 1920. To this union was born one child, Betty Joan, age 8. Mr. Heiden had a personality that attracted many friends, a sunny disposition to all who knew him. He was a kind, thoughtful and devoted husband and father. His father preceded him in death 30 years ago in a railroad accident, leaving him fatherless at the age of eight years also. He leaves to mourn his passing his grief stricken wife; one daughter; his mother, Mrs Emma McCauley; one sister, Mrs. Melvin Wright of Cherokee, othe relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock at the Presbyterian church at Cherokee. Rev. Alfred Petersen was in charge. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery. Music was furnished by Chas. Buma and Mrs. Walter Popma. Mys Lyman Simpson accompanied at the organ. Pallbearers were Harry Williams; George Sumber; Fred Case; Erwin Ohlson; Leo Kirkpatrick; Harlan Sexton.
